Jason,
you are a smart guy, did it ever dawn on you that health care is part of job creation? companies will create jobs if one of two things happen: 1. they are making more money (will so many people out of work -- won't happen). 2. their costs are lowered - which most likely will start happening at a higher rate end of this year and into the next year. some of the provisions of health care will lower some costs for businesses to give them the opportunity to expand. also, people still criticize Obama for all of this, but there are a lot of things at play. Small businesses STILL cannot get loans, most businesses still cannot get loans, the only REAL money in the economy is coming from the government right now. also, Obama has made a significant investment in a new industry, alternative energy industry, that is starting to open up more jobs. Ecotality is one such company, and it is located around the corner for me. You, being an entrepreneur, should know all too well that there is a process to all of this. In order to even move forward some of the garbage created by the banking industry has to be cleaned up even more before anything can move forward. What kills me is that all these people keep spitting on Obama -- day and night -- as if the brotha created this mess, but I'm not hearing regular people screaming at the people who allowed this to happen. Greenspan, Cox (of the SEC), AIG, Lehman Bros., BofA, Clinton, and on down the line. You could even argue for the automotive companies that received bailouts because their products had become lax decades ago and you know that in the tech industry if you produce garbage, then you get no customers -- that's what happened to American car manufacturers. You guys ALWAYS blame Obama, but there is a litany of things that caused this -- and they were all tied to free market thinking and its goal of attempting to privatize everything, including our government at the expense of people living in this country. That's the REAL problem, but as is always the case, America falls for the themes that prevent any really progress from happening in this country - all the isms/prejudices that blind people from seeing what is going on, and in the case of Obama, I believe there is racist agenda being played out in the media - and it isn't subtle - to where everybody is blaming everything on this one black man and forgetting all the people who carried shovels since Reagan who dug us into this hole. Talk about the republicans who are trying to fight the finance reform that will close up the hole that caused all of this mess!!! i swear dude, people are so blind at times in this country...
